A massage therapist in Roswell was fired after being arrested Thursday on sexual assault charges, authorities said.
Vincent Joseph Osborne of Marietta was charged with aggravated sexual battery and misdemeanor sexual battery for an incident that took place in July of last year, according to Fulton County Jail records.
The allegation happened while he was a masseur at 100% Chiropractic on Marietta Highway, Roswell police told Channel 2 Action News. After the encounter, the victim visited Roswell police headquarters to file a report.
Police said he has active warrants in DeKalb County and the city of South Fulton.
“(Officers are) looking to see if maybe some other victims have experienced the same thing,” Roswell police Officer Sean Thompson told Channel 2.
DeKalb police and South Fulton police have not released further details on his outstanding warrants, according to the news station.
Osborne’s former boss, Dr. April Doty, emailed Channel 2 a statement regarding the arrest that said, in part:
“Our patients' safety and health is our top priority, and our absolute sympathy goes out to the victim ... we did perform background checks and license verification and nothing came up that indicated Mr. Osborne had a history of inappropriate behavior. His license was reported as active and in good standing from the Georgia Board of Massage Therapy.”
Osborne remained Friday night in the Fulton County Jail without bond, according to online jail records.
