Rewards totaling $4,000 are being offered for the return of an English bulldog that was stolen from the home of a University of Georgia student, according to a media report.

A committee has offered a $3,000 reward for information leading to the safe return of Chapel, who was taken during a home burglary, the Athens Banner-Herald reported. Nothing else was taken from the home.

Also, Crime Stoppers has offered a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the offender’s arrest and the recovery of Chapel, who is 18 months old.

Chapel’s owner told police he did not know who would have wanted to steal his dog, worth $1,600, the paper reported.
