It wasn’t just another smash and grab. And it wasn’t just another ATM theft.

The people who backed an SUV through the front and into the Sky Zone trampoline park in Roswell knew exactly where the ATM was, Channel 2 Action News reported Thursday.

“They definitely worked as a team, in and out very quickly,” owner Jeff Cole said.

The thieves struck just before 3 a.m. Sunday, police said. Surveillance video shows the SUV driving through the parking lot. Suddenly, the driver slammed the car into reverse and smashed through the Sky Zone front.

The thieves had a chain to pull the ATM from its base, but the machine was bolted to the floor. So they dragged it to the SUV.

The incident left Cole shaken.

“It is upsetting,” he said. “For sure, disheartening.”

Cole is offering a $1,000 reward for the suspects’ arrest.

“Obviously they’ve done this before,” he said, “so it sure would be great to eliminate them from society, from them doing this to other businesses.”
