A former DeKalb County corrections officer has been on the run for five months since he was convicted in a statutory rape case.
Now, Fulton County authorities are offering a $2,000 reward for any information that would lead to Charles Barry Pinckney’s capture.
On Nov. 21, a judge sentenced Pinckney to 45 years in prison for raping a 15-year-old girl inside his Atlanta home in December 2016, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution previously reported. He has been on the run since Oct. 27.
Pinckney has ties to Atlanta, Brunswick and Miami, according to a release from the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office.
Officials are asking anyone with information regarding Pinckney's whereabouts to contact them with tips. Tipsters can also remain anonymous, and be eligible for rewards of up to $2,000, by contacting Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-8477, texting information to 274637 or visiting crimestoppersatlanta.org.
