Reward up to $40K in deadly shooting at Barcelona Wine Bar

Woman Killed During Apparent Robbery Attempt

Even though Atlanta police have charged two suspects in a deadly restaurant shooting, the reward for information in the case has again increased. CrimeStoppers Atlanta is now offering a $40,000 reward for information on the Barcelona Wine Bar shooting, according to police.

On Nov. 19, three masked men entered the northwest Atlanta eatery while employees were closing the restaurant, witnesses told police. Restaurant manager Chelsea Beller opened the safe for the suspects, but was shot in the restaurant office and died from her injuries. She was 29.

The first suspect identified in the case, Samuel Ott, was arrested Dec. 23 and charged with felony murder, aggravated assault, kidnapping and false imprisonment. On Friday, a second suspect was charged with murder, Atlanta police said. Carlous Demar Bailey, 20, was charged with murder and armed robbery, according to police.

The investigation into Beller’s shooting death continues, police said. CrimeStoppers Atlanta again raised the reward for information in the case, bringing the total to $40,000. Tipsters, who can remain anonymous, are asked to call 404-577-TIPS (8477).
