A Lawrenceville man was arrested earlier this week in Gwinnett County before being transferred to Fayette County to face three felonies, authorities said.

Stephan DJ Profitt-Long, 27, was booked into the Fayette jail Tuesday to face charges in connection with an armed robbery at an AT&T store last year, Fayetteville police spokeswoman Ann Marie Burdett told AJC.com. He’s charged with aggravated assault, armed robbery and false imprisonment.

On April 19, 2019, police responded to the AT&T store on South Glynn Street after an armed robbery was reported, AJC.com previously reported. The incident took place about 9:30 a.m.

A surveillance camera captured a man wearing a gray UCLA hoodie, light-colored pants and athletic shoes. Investigators accuse Profitt-Long of being that man.

Burdett said investigators were able to tie Profitt-Long to another armed robbery at a cellphone store in Villa Rica. It’s unclear whether he has been charged in connection with any other incidents.

No one was injured during the April 19 robbery, but the victim feared for their life during the incident, which is why Profitt-Long was charged with aggravated assault, Burdett said.

He was arrested Monday in Gwinnett on the outstanding warrants, according to jail records. He remains in the Fayette jail without bond.
