A man was killed and a teenager was injured Monday in shootings that DeKalb County police believe may be related.

Just before midnight, police found both victims less than a half-mile apart near Tucker.

The teen was discovered on Blue Birch Circle with a gunshot wound to the leg, DeKalb police spokeswoman Michaela Vincent told AJC.com in an emailed statement. He was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive.

A man believed to be in his early 30s was found dead from an apparent gunshot in the woods near Stone Mill Way, according to Vincent. That victim’s identity is unknown.

“We do believe the two shootings are possibly related, but the investigation into both shootings continue,” she said.

No other details were released.
