Police seeking hit-and-run suspect who struck Marietta pedestrian

A pedestrian was the victim of a hit-and-run in Cobb County on Tuesday night, police said.

Kevin Scholfield, 36, of Marietta, was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car while walking west on Pete Shaw Road, Cobb police said in a news release.

Scholfield was walking between Regas Drive and Bramblebush Trail, near Sandy Plains Road, around 10 p.m. when he was hit from behind by a westbound vehicle, which then drove away from the scene, the release said.

He wasn’t able to provide any information about the vehicle, the release said.
