Police search for hit-and-run driver who struck man on skateboard

Sept 8, 2015Jonathan Walton was supposed to start a program on Tuesday to earn college credits and training for a career in information technology.
He and a friend were riding their skateboards down Thompson Mill Road near Panola Road in Lithonia on Monday when a white vehicle struck Walton without stopping.
"I heard a hit," friend Kenneth Ballinger told FOX 5 Atlanta. "… A loud thump. And saw him flipping and rolling past me."
According to the television station, family members said Walton had internal bleeding and multiple broken bones and was in critical condition at Grady Memorial Hospital.
