Two men committed armed robbery at a gas station in Detroit this weekend, police said, but they didn’t take any cash.

The pair stole three boxes of honey buns at a Citgo early Sunday morning, WXYZ reported.

Detroit Police Sgt. Mike Woody told WXYZ, "I wouldn't necessarily call them dumb, but I would tell you this much - it's a very dumb thing to be doing."

While one of the men went in the store to grab the sweet treats, the other man guarded the door and brandished a gun when a security guard tried to stop the robbery.

Police are actively searching for the suspects.
