Union City police are looking for a suspect in an armed robbery at a Waffle House.

The incident happened early Friday morning at the restaurant in the 3800 block of Flat Shoals Road, police spokesman Jerome Turner Jr. said in a news release.

The suspect was described as being of small stature. He was wearing a black sweatshirt with white symbols, Turner said.

No other details were released.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call Union City police at 707-515-7839 or via email at mwest@unioncityga.org.

It’s the second incident this week at a metro Atlanta Waffle House. A man was attacked Tuesday at a Gwinnett County restaurant, AJC.com previously reported.

He was waiting for a to-go order when he allegedly bumped into the suspect. The suspect waited for the man to make his way out of the Waffle House to attack him with the help of another man, police said.

No arrests have been made in that case.
