A man was killed Wednesday afternoon after being shot inside a car in DeKalb County and then left in a neighborhood, police said.
The victim, identified Thursday as 21-year-old Reeves McSwain, was discovered about 2:30 p.m. in the 1800 block of Longdale Drive near 2nd Avenue, DeKalb police spokeswoman Michaela Vincent said.
According to police, McSwain was shot inside the vehicle before being removed by “an unknown number of suspects” and left in the neighborhood as the car fled the scene. He was taken to the hospital, but later died.
Few details about the case have been released, and investigators have not identified any of the suspects or a possible motive for the shooting, Vincent said.
