Authorities in Texas arrested a woman after someone reported she was drunk and "charging passing cars, pretending to be a charging bull," according to Brownwood News.

Authorities booked the woman, identified as 39-year-old Erika Frances Lenz, into Brown County Jail Thursday on charges of public intoxication and assault, jail records show.

An anonymous caller reported Lenz's strange actions around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, KTXS reported. Her son, a teenager, told officers his mom had consumed "large quantities of tequila" before the incident.

After they arrived, officers repeatedly told Lenz to stay inside. Although she agreed, she twice ran back outside, according to KTXS. After an officer stopped her the second time, police arrested her.

Lenz told KTXS she was drinking vodka, not tequila, and denied charging at cars. She told the TV station she actually stepped into traffic without looking.

Jail records show she has been arrested on alcohol-related charges at least once before. On March 10, police arrested her on one count of driving while intoxicated.
