Police suspect gang members are linked to at least 40 car break-ins and thefts in Carroll County over the past two weeks, Channel 2 Action News reported.

The gang is believed to be from DeKalb County, going back and forth to steal cars, money and guns, Temple police told Channel 2.

The news station obtained several surveillance videos that allegedly show the same group of armed thieves driving in a red car to break into vehicles. They then appear to use the stolen vehicles to drive to nearby areas to break into other cars.

Police said their last lead was a stolen credit card used at a BP gas station on Fulton Industrial Boulevard in south Fulton County on Monday, Channel 2 reported.

An investigation is ongoing.
