The Atlanta Police Department is requesting the public’s help in identifying three men who are suspected of damaging a police car during an off-road vehicle rally over the weekend.

Police said the car was damaged Sunday near Northside Drive and Marietta Street while an officer attempted to apprehend an ATV driver who was one of about 100 drivers who was “driving recklessly and disregarding traffic law,” according to a news release.

After he left his vehicle unattended to chase the driver, the officer’s car was extensively damaged by three men who got onto the hood of the vehicle and kicked the windshield.

The motorists were participants in #RayDay5, a large off-road vehicle event during which several people — including "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta" star Kirk Frost — were arrested for traffic violations.

The APD has asked anyone with information regarding this case to submit anonymous tips to the Crime Stoppers Atlanta tip line at 404-577-8477, online at CrimeStoppersAtlanta.org or by texting "CSA" and the tip to 274637. Anyone who submits a tip leading to an arrest and indictment can receive an award of up to $2,000.
