One person was killed and another hospitalized following an early morning crash on I-285 in DeKalb County, authorities said.

DeKalb fire Capt. Eric Jackson said the crash happened around 4:30 a.m. Saturday near the Memorial Drive ramp on I-285 north. At least two vehicles were involved, and the interstate was closed until just after 8 a.m.

DeKalb police are investigating the cause of the crash, Jackson said.

No further information was immediately available. The condition of the person taken to the hospital was unclear.
