A pedestrian in Douglas County was struck and killed around 4:30 a.m. Thursday, officials said.

Marsha Anderson, 44, of Douglasville, was traveling north on Ga. 92 when she hit a man with her car, the Georgia State Patrol said.

The pedestrian, whose identity has not been released, allegedly was walking on the highway with his back to traffic. No charges have been filed.

GSP is investing the incident.
