A woman was arrested in connection with a bomb threat on the University of Florida’s campus, police said.

University police said Jessica Ward, 24, made the threat last week at UF’s engineering building.

Police said Ward admitted that she wrote the threat in an effort to leave work at the time indicated in the threat in order to get some “me time."

Ward was arrested Tuesday by the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office.

Officials said Ward is not a student, but an employee of Aramark who was working at the Java Hut coffee kiosk located on campus on the day of the incident.
