A man working at a McDonald’s on Old National Highway was shot in an attempted robbery Tuesday, police said.

Three men entered the restaurant, which is located at 7480 Old National Highway, shortly after 8 p.m. and attempted to rob the place, Kay Lester, a spokeswoman for Fulton County police, said in a news release.

One of the men fired a gun and hit an employee, who was later transported to Grady in stable condition.

All three men then ran out of the restaurant and had not been arrested as of 10:30 p.m. Tuesday.

An officer responding to that scene was involved in an accident with another vehicle at the intersection of Bethsaida Road and Old National Highway. That officer was transported to Grady with non-life threatening injuries.

There is no information on the accident, Lester said.
