An ex-police officer sitting behind bars for allegedly raping a woman in a DeKalb County park is now the subject of a second rape investigation, authorities said.
Former Lithonia cop David Wilborn was arrested in September after a woman told police she was raped by the on-duty officer less than a mile from his police station.

Now, the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office is investigating a second rape allegation made by a woman who claims the 42-year-old sexually assaulted her two years ago at a northwest Atlanta apartment complex, Channel 2 Action News reported.
At the time, Wilborn was working an off-duty job providing security at the Centennial Place Apartments, according to the news station. The woman said she let him into her home because he was an officer and she trusted him.
“I want him locked up for what he did to me,” she told Channel 2.
The AJC does not identify the victims of sex crimes.
The woman said Wilborn seemed friendly around the complex, and that the two would occasionally talk about her struggles as a single mother living in a new city.

She said the officer gave her a few dollars one day, which she thought was a nice gesture.
“I thought it was a blessing because he said he helps people, he helps women, he helps single moms,” she said.
But the following day, she heard a knock at her front door. She said it was Wilborn, who raped her and then threatened to have her evicted if she told anyone about it.
Wilborn’s September arrest for the alleged rape at the park was not the first time he was accused of sexual misconduct while on duty.
There was a history of complaints against him by coworkers and the public dating to his work with the Atlanta Police Department, according to his Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training file.
One woman alleged that while on duty and in full uniform, Wilborn performed a sexual act in front of her inside the lingerie shop where she worked. After an investigation was launched, Wilborn allegedly admitted to his supervisors that he approached the woman at the store, followed her into a back room and engaged in the act, POST records show.
His police certification was suspended for two years in 2010 and he received a public reprimand from the POST council. He was hired by the Lithonia Police Department in July 2017.
Wilborn remains held at the DeKalb County Jail without bond on charges of rape, aggravated assault and violating his oath of office, records show.
