A Watkinsville man was arrested Monday on charges of rape, aggravated child molestation and aggravated sodomy, authorities said.

David William Haines, 38, faces one count of each charge, the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post. No other details have been released.

Haines remains in the Oconee County jail without bond as he awaits his first court appearance, which has not been scheduled, the post said.

The investigation is ongoing. AJC.com has reached out to the sheriff’s office for more information.
