A North Georgia man is accused of beating and raping a woman several times while holding her at knifepoint earlier this month, the Catoosa County News reported.

Daniel Richard See, 32, of Rossville, was arrested June 17 on rape, aggravated assault, battery and probation violation charges, according to Catoosa jail records.

On June 10, a woman with visible bruising on her arms and neck went to the sheriff’s office to report the alleged abuse, the newspaper reported. She told deputies that See held her at his home against her will the night prior, beating her and forcing her to have sex with him while he held a razor knife.

The woman said the abuse lasted until about 6 a.m., and it allegedly began again June 10. See is also accused of striking her repeatedly during the sexual assault, hitting her in the head when she attempted to use a phone to call for help.

The woman was able to eventually contact someone from her church and her son to help her, the newspaper reported.

See remains in jail without bond, records show. AJC.com has reached out to the sheriff’s office for more information.
