One woman has died and another has been arrested following a shooting at a southwest Atlanta Super Bowl party Sunday night, according to police.

Rochel Facey, 25, of Covington, is being held at the Fulton County Jail in connection with the deadly shooting, Atlanta police spokesman Officer Anthony Grant told AJC.com on Monday. Facey faces charges of aggravated battery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

According to police, a fight broke out between Facey and Tashika Sims at the Villas at Princeton Lakes Apartment Homes on Fairburn Road.

Facey fired a single shot, hitting the victim in the torso, police said.

Sims, 26, of Fairburn, was taken to a hospital in critical condition, but later died from her injuries.
