A suspect in one of two shooting deaths that happened hours apart in the same North Georgia town is in custody, an official said.
Qumentiz Marquez McKibben, 24, was arrested by U.S. Marshals near Covington about 10:40 p.m. Tuesday, Monroe police Chief Keith Glass said Wednesday.
McKibben earlier was charged with felony murder in connection with the death of Shaun Barfield on May 6, Glass said.

The shooting happened on Tanglewood Lane, not far from another deadly incident, according to police. Investigators have not determined if the incidents are related.
About midnight May 5, authorities said Darrin Bernard Barnes, 43, of Duluth, died when an altercation turned violent at a party on Tanglewood Drive, police said.
