A woman was arrested after leaving her two children in the car while she shopped at Walmart, officials said.
Officials said Paula Sue Burns, 48, left her two children in the car for more than an hour and half on Wednesday outside the Indian Trail Walmart.
Union County deputies arrived on the scene just before noon after someone reported seeing the 2-year-old twins in the back of the car.
Burns was arrested and charged with two counts of misdemeanor child abuse.
The children are back with the family.
