Two more men have been arrested after authorities said they turned on an accomplice, beat him, stabbed him and threw him into the trunk of a car on the way to a robbery in LaGrange.

Willie Andrews, 20, of Roswell, and Thillinius Marquis Gray, 29, of LaGrange, are accused of helping 30-year-old Kadezmeon Lovett of Morrow attack 20-year-old Siemeon Sneed on July 11, the Troup County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post.

Gray turned himself in Monday, while Andrews was arrested Thursday with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service, GBI, Roswell police and Alpharetta police, the post said. Lovett was already in custody, AJC.com previously reported.

The four men drove from Atlanta on July 10 to commit a robbery in LaGrange, but the trio of suspects turned on Sneed on the way, according to the sheriff’s office. Authorities have not said what prompted the suspects to single out Sneed. They allegedly beat and kicked him until he was unconscious before stabbing him at least eight times and stuffing him into the trunk of the car.

Sneed told authorities the men planned to drive him somewhere and kill him. He said he escaped after regaining consciousness, pulling the emergency trunk release and jumping out of the vehicle.

The badly injured and bleeding man was found on the side of New Hutchingson Mill Road, deputies said. The other men allegedly fled the area after realizing that Sneed escaped the car.

Andrews, Gray and Lovett all face charges of criminal attempt to commit murder, armed robbery, aggravated assault, aggravated battery and possession of a knife during certain crimes, jail records show. They were all booked into the Troup County Jail.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 706-883-1616 or Crime Stoppers at 706-812-1000.
