Amber Keyes told investigators her daughter Ayahna died in January.

So she "decided to clear out a drawer in the refrigerator and place her body in there."

The Houston Chronicle reports Ayahna suffered from cerebral palsy and was in poor health. However, when a neighbor found her 14-pound body "in the beginning stages of decomposition," they called police.

Ayahna’s father Armand Comb has said he saw his daughter alive in April.

“I picked her up, hugged her, talked to her," he told KTRK in Houston.

Family members say that isn’t true.

They claim Armand had a stroke and has lost much of his memory.

There was a five-year-old in the home as well. That child is in protective custody while police finish the investigation and decide how to proceed.
