A girl matching the description of missing 4-year-old Rebecca Lewis was located at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Police also arrested Lewis’ alleged kidnapper, West Hogs, according to multiple media reports.
An employee called security to say Hogs was at the hospital, Memphis Police Department spokeswoman Lt. Karen Randolph said. She said she did not know why Hogs visited the medical center, according to reports.
Police stopped Hogs in the hospital parking lot, and he was arrested without incident. Randolph said the girl did not appear to be harmed.
Earlier, Lewis and Hogs, 31, were spotted by a Tennessee park ranger Sunday night. An Amber Alert had been issued in Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Tennessee and Kentucky.
The Lakeland, Fla., girl was first spotted at a Georgia gas station off I-75 in Forsyth on Saturday night. Her alleged abductor was with her.
Polk County, Fla., Sheriff Grady Judd said earlier Monday that the girl should have been rescued Sunday.
Tennessee officials refused to issue an Amber Alert when authorities in Florida asked them to, Judd said during a news conference Monday. Tennessee officials said there was no evidence that Hogs and Lewis were in Tennessee at the time.
Hogs is a former family friend who lived with the family two years ago, Judd said.
