Two men are recovering after they were stabbed during a brawl in southeast Atlanta, officials said.

The victims were taken to a hospital after the incident, which happened just before 12:30 a.m. Sunday.

The incident started at a party at a home on United Avenue, according to an Atlanta police incident report. One of the victims told police that his friend called him from the party and told him to come, the incident report said.

The victim arrived to a chaotic scene. He said a fight had broken out in the middle of the street, and the friend who had invited him to the party was being beaten up, according to the report.

Police said one party-goer had punched the friend, and then a second one had stabbed him.

The victim jumped out of his car to help his friend but was stabbed on the side of his neck, according to the incident report. He then fell back into his car.

Witnesses drove both of the injured men to Atlanta Medical Center, where they were stable, police said.

Investigators said the friend and the person who stabbed him had been in other disputes prior to the incident. The alleged attacker, who lives out of state, said in an Instagram post that he wanted to “drag” the man, according to police.

Details about charges in the case have not been released.
