Gwinnett County police are asking for help from the public to identify someone who robbed a pharmacy near Lawrenceville at gunpoint.

An employee of the Gwinnett Pharmacy told officers, who arrived shortly after 10 a.m. on Jan. 2, that a woman entered the pharmacy pointing a gun and demanding Percocet and Xanex, Cpl. Michele Pihera said.

After getting the pills, the woman ordered the employee to the ground and left the pharmacy, Pihera said.

The woman police are seeking is described as in her 40s and 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-10, police said. She was wearing a black puffy coat, a white hat, a scarf, large sunglasses and pink or purple winter gloves.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call 770-513-5300. Also, people can leave anonymous tips at Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477 or online at crimestoppersatlanta.org. A reward of up to $2,000 is available.
