Atlanta police are searching for a masked gunman who stole $7,000 from a northwest Atlanta convenience store early Friday, Channel 2 Action News reported.

The armed robbery occurred about 1:30 a.m. at the Majik Market at the intersection of Bolton and Marietta roads, according to the news station.

A clerk was cleaning the store when the gunman, who was wearing a ball cap and gloves, walked in and stole cash from the register, Channel 2 reported. The man also searched other areas of the store for cash.

Police say the gunman and a getaway driver left in a black Toyota, possibly a Camry, and were last seen heading east on Bolton Road.

The clerk was not injured in the armed robbery.

Authorities are reviewing surveillance video from the store.
