A 71-year-old Marietta man was killed after hitting a Ford F-650 wrecker head-on Friday afternoon, authorities said.

David Miller, of Marietta, was driving north on Cobb Parkway near Airport Industrial Park Drive when his 2016 Ford Focus drifted into the southbound lanes about 3:45 p.m., Marietta police said.

He collided head-on with a wrecker traveling the opposite direction and died at the scene.

The driver of the tow truck, an 82-year-old Alabama man, was not seriously injured in the wreck.

The crash remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call 770-794-5357.
