A Marietta man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a fire that started outside of a Lowe’s store in Austell, authorities said.

Austin Yawn, 26, was charged with arson and criminal damage in the Sunday night incident at the store on the East-West Connector.

Police said Yawn was seen on surveillance video walking behind a pine straw trailer and disappearing from view, according to an arrest warrant obtained by AJC.com. He then used an open flame to set the pine straw on fire and ran away from the trailer as it began smoking, the warrant stated.

As a result, the trailer was destroyed. Lowe’s indicated to police that the damages were around $500.

Yawn is being held at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center on a $22,200 bond.
