A Marietta man is in jail after allegedly enticing a 15-year-old girl into his home, molesting her and selling her for sex for more than seven weeks, police said.

Jared Ross Barnes is accused of keeping the teenager in his home within the Watermark of East Cobb apartment complex, which is a gated community, Channel 2 Action News reported.

An arrest warrant, obtained by Channel 2, said Barnes kept the girl in his apartment from Sept. 7 to Oct. 28, and he’s accused of trafficking her during that time.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution's policy is to not name sexual assault victims or minors.

Police told the news station that several men sexually abused the victim inside the apartment in the 500 block of East Lake Drive, and Barnes allegedly drove her to other locations to meet with other men. A forensic interview allegedly revealed Barnes sexually abused her as well.

Police wouldn’t release how the teen was lured to the location, Channel 2 reported.

Cobb County police arrested Barnes on Oct. 29. He remains in the Cobb County Jail without bond, according to jail records.

He faces charges of trafficking a person for sexual servitude, child molestation, enticing a child and interference with custody, jail records show.

An investigation is ongoing.
