A man wanted in connection with a homicide at a Midtown club was arrested Sunday night in Connecticut, according to state police.

Robert Donell Annunziata, 33, of McDonough, was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped by state police on I-95 in Stonington, Conn., on a speeding violation, officials said Monday.

Instead of staying put, he got out of the vehicle and ran, according to police. Police K-9s located him in the woods.

According to a police report obtained by AJC.com, Annunziata had an active felony warrant out against him in Atlanta on a charge of willful killing with a gun. He allegedly shot and killed an employee of Atlantis Restaurant and Lounge and injured two others May 25, the arrest warrant said.

Police said the incident escalated to violence after an argument over the price of admission into the Piedmont Circle club, the AJC.com previously reported.

Police identified Annunziata as the man who allegedly opened fire on three people, killing employee John David Price II on the scene with a shot to the head. The other two victims, identified in the incident report as Andrew Darling and Washington Young Jr., were both shot in the leg.

Annunziata also faces charges of negligent pedestrian, interfering with an officer/resisting arrest and second-degree breach of peace, according to the Connecticut police report.

He sustained minor injuries to his right calf during the chase and was taken to a hospital.
