Police are searching for a man who attempted to rob a Smoothie King while threatening employees in Johns Creek.

Surveillance video obtained by Channel 2 Action News shows a masked man enter the McGinnis Ferry Road business Aug. 21 and threaten to pull a gun on two workers. The employees called 911 after the incident.

“He was like, ‘I’m not playing with you. Give me the money. Give me the money,’” one of the victims was heard saying. “That’s when I took off running.”

Johns Creek police Lt. Todd Hood said the employees were able to scare off the man before he stole anything.

“The two female employees manipulated the register real quickly and then fled through the back of the establishment,” Hood told Channel 2.

After the women took off, the suspect fled the store.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Johns Creek police at 678-474-1600.

Donald Trump's administration deployed the military to Washington, D.C., in the name of fighting crime, and in an Aug. 11 news conference he mentioned the possibility of military being sent to other large American cities, all of which are led by Black, Democratic mayors. And while Atlanta wasn't included in Trump's list, the city fits that profile under Mayor Andre Dickens. (Photo Illustration: Philip Robibero / AJC | Source: Getty)
