Police are looking for two men they say shot a man in the parking lot of a Dunwoody apartment complex.

The shooting happened just before midnight Saturday at the Peachtree Place North Apartments, according to Dunwoody police spokesman Sgt. Robert Parsons.

The man told police he was standing outside of an apartment building on his cellphone when two men walked up and demanded his wallet. The man ran back toward his apartment and one of the suspects started shooting at him, Parsons said. He was hit twice.

The man was taken to the hospital, treated and released, Parsons said.

The suspects are described as being in their early 20s and about 5 feet, 5 inches tall.

Police are investigating the incident as an aggravated assault. Anyone with information is asked to contact Dunwoody Detective Robert Barrett at 678-382-6934. Tipsters can remain anonymous by visiting www.dunwoodypolice.com or texting via the TIPSOFT program.
