Police are investigating a fatal shooting that began as a domestic dispute Monday evening at a home in northwest Georgia, authorities said.

Officers were dispatched to a Chattooga County home on Kelly Street shortly after 11 p.m., Summerville police said in a news release. They arrived to find the body of a man who had been shot to death.

The GBI was called in to process the scene and assist with the homicide investigation, Summerville police said. Officers questioned one person about the shooting, but no charges have been filed, authorities said.

It’s unclear what led to the dispute, and the name of the man killed isn’t being released until his family has been notified, police said.

No additional information was released.
