Roswell police are investigating a fatal Friday night shooting at a local hotel.

Officer Zachary Frommer said the shooting at the Atlanta Hotel, located at 9995 Old Dogwood Road, began around 7:40 p.m. as an argument between three men. The disagreement spilled out of a room and into a common area before multiple shots were fired.

Anthony B. Leftenant, 30, of Alpharetta, died at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds, Frommer said.

“Roswell Police investigators are developing information on suspect(s) at this time,” Frommer said in an email, “but it is believed that the subjects involved knew each other and the public is not at risk.
