UPDATE: Man shot in face, killed at South Fulton apartment ID’d

Police are investigating after a man was fatally shot at a South Fulton apartment complex early Wednesday.

Officers started working the shooting at the Hickory Park apartments in the 4900 block of Delano Road just after midnight. The victim died on scene after being shot in the face, South Fulton police said.

He was identified by the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office as 27-year-old Daqual Boykins of Atlanta. South Fulton police Lt. Derrick Rogers confirmed to AJC.com they are investigating the man’s death as a homicide.
