A man was shot Saturday at a car wash in south Fulton County by someone he never had seen, authorities said.

The shooting was at Old National Highway and Jolly Road, according to a release by Fulton County police. After being shot, the victim ran to a nearby gas station, where police were called. The victim was alert and breathing when he was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital.

The shooter fled, police said, and the investigation is continuing.
