Man shot and killed at DeKalb apartment complex
DeKalb County police are investigating a fatal overnight shooting at an apartment complex near Stone Mountain.
The incident happened just before 12:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Highland Forest Apartments in the 4700 block of Central Drive, according to DeKalb police Capt. Stephen Fore.
Fore said responding officers discovered a man, about 21 years old, with gunshot wounds to the chest.
The man, whose name has not been released, was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he later died.
Investigators have not revealed a motive for the shooting.
