A Henry County man was sentenced Monday to 18 years in prison after being convicted of molesting a 5-year-old girl, prosecutors said.

Steven Lee Anderson, 38, of Locust Grove, was found guilty of forcing the child to touch his genitals in Sept. 2017, a spokeswoman for the Henry County District Attorney’s office said in a news release.

In addition to his prison time, Anderson must register as a sex offender for life and have no contact with the victim or her mother, the release said.

In other news:

Marietta police said Cobb County Deputy David Corish saw surveillance video of two men breaking into a parked car outside the courthouse on Waddell Street around 4 a.m. Monday.
