A 34-year-old man was killed early Tuesday in DeKalb County when his truck crashed into a tree, police said.

Just before 3 a.m., officers responded to the scene on Lithonia Industrial Boulevard near Covington Highway, DeKalb police Maj. Stephen Fore said.

Romondo Brown, who was driving a Ford F-150 pickup truck northbound, drove off the road and hit a tree.

Brown, who was the only person in the truck, died at the scene, Fore said.

The crash remains under investigation.
