A drive-by shooting killed a 19-year-old and left bullet holes in homes in a Clayton County neighborhood, according to police.

Daquan Miller and his brother were walking along Hurt Road late Friday when shots were fired from a black vehicle that pulled up beside them, Sgt. Ashanti Marbury said. Miller tried to run from the gunfire, but collapsed after being shot, Marbury said. He died from his injuries.

A woman who lives on the street told Channel 2 Action News she found a gun in her backyard. Homes across the street from where Lee was found were hit by stray bullets.

“At this time, the motive for the shooting is unknown and there are no suspects,” Marbury said in an emailed statement Tuesday.

Anyone who may have information on the shooting is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS (8477).
