A man accused of kidnapping and assaulting a woman was being held without bond in the Hall County jail Tuesday morning.

Timothy Chance Adams, 21, of West Hall County, was arrested Thursday on multiple charges, including kidnapping, criminal damage to property, assault, battery and obstruction, according to Hall sheriff’s Lt. Scott Ware.

Adams allegedly grabbed the victim by her hair and forced her from her driver’s seat into the passenger seat in order for him to gain control of the car, Ware said. The incident occurred Wednesday in the area of White Hall Road.

Adams and the woman, whose name was not released, are acquaintances, but no details were released about their relationship. Adams drove the victim against her will a couple of miles, stating that he had a knife, and would not allow her to call 911, Ware said. He allegedly damaged the woman’s car during this incident and passed a stopped school bus, according to police.

Adams was arrested without incident and booked into the Hall jail. The alleged crimes remain under investigation.
