A man was sentenced to 30 years in prison Thursday for stabbing four people, kidnapping a 16-year-old girl and raping her last year, according to several media reports.

Adrian Garcia-Zamarroon, 23, of Riverdale, pleaded guilty to rape and was sentenced as part of a plea agreement, the Macon Judicial Circuit District Attorney's Office told the Macon Telegraph. He also could face deportation after serving his prison sentence due to a immigration hold by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

In August 2018, the teen was kidnapped from a business off Temple Avenue in Newnan, stabbing four of her family members during the incident, AJC.com previously reported.

The incident prompted a Levi’s Call for the girl, who was reported to be 15 years old by the GBI. Her four family members survived the stabbing.

Garcia-Zamarroon drove her south on I-75 until his white BMW convertible ran out of gas in Monroe County, the Telegraph reported. He then walked the girl to a house that was under construction on Rivoli Road, where he raped her and threatened to kill her if she refused, the DA’s Office said.

Authorities spotted the abandoned car the next morning, and Garcia-Zamarroon was arrested while walking on Rivoli Road with the girl, the newspaper reported.

In addition to his prison time and possible deportation, he will have to register as a sex offender. He still faces charges in Coweta County related to the stabbings as well as federal charges, news station WGMT reported.
