A 57-year-old DeKalb County man is facing child pornography charges after officers searched his home Wednesday, the GBI said.

Craig Hale Allen was charged with five counts of sexual exploitation of children after GBI agents and officers from DeKalb and Decatur police searched his residence in the 200 block of Jefferson Place in Decatur, GBI spokesman Brian Johnston said in a news release.

Officers found images of child porn on Allen’s computer, Johnston said. He was booked into the DeKalb County jail.

The months-long investigation was part of a continuing effort by the Internet Crimes Against Children task force, which is managed by the GBI.

Anyone with information about this or other child exploitation cases is asked to contact the GBI at 404-270-8870.
