The family of Cynthia Morris may finally edge closer to justice after a man accused of raping and killing her 20 years ago was indicted.

Ralph Williams was charged with murder, aggravated sodomy and related charges following his indictment, according to a release from the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office.

According to the release, Williams entered Morris’ Southwest Atlanta apartment in March 1996 and raped her, then placed a gun to the back of her head and fired a shot. Morris’ body was found the next day by her boyfriend.
