A man was sentenced Thursday to life in prison plus five years for shooting and killing a 68-year-old woman during a robbery in Walton County last year, authorities said.

Sergio Moon, 30, was convicted Wednesday in the murder of Linda Flint at her apartment in the 100 block of West Marable Street in June, the Walton County District Attorney's Office said in a Facebook post.

Monroe police found Flint “bleeding profusely” on the floor of her home, and she was taken to Piedmont Walton Hospital, where she later died, AJC.com previously reported.
